FORWARDING YOUR PACKAGE QUICKLY WITH ACCURACY & TRUST

For over a decade, My Package 2 Alaska has provided package forwarding for our Alaskan neighbors who are buying through on-line e-commerce websites – but find out the sellers "do not ship to Alaska" - but will ship to Lower 48 destinations.

Our approach is built on consistency and trust: dependable package forwarding and logistics solutions designed to:

"Help You Get It There."

Our Services

"Easy-Peasy"

It is just
USPS POSTAGE + FLAT RATE $5

If you are trying to order a product online, and if at the end of the shopping cart process you find that either the seller does not ship to Alaska, or you find that the estimated shipping costs seem excessive (most likely the result of Second-Day Air shipping rates), check to see if shipping your package through My Package 2 Alaska can save you money.
Typically, going through My Package 2 Alaska and the Post Office can save you money, although it may take a few days longer than a package arriving by Second-Day Air freight directly from the seller.

To calculate the costs of forwarding your purchase through My Package 2 Alaska and the Post Office, use the following steps:

STEP #1 - Use the USPS Postage Price Calculator link to estimate the USPS postage from our facility in Holladay, Utah, using zip code 84117, to the zip code for your home town Post Office in Alaska.

You will need to complete the info in boxes 1 thru 4, selecting:
"Package" if all of your dimensions are UNDER 12 inches
-OR-
"Large Package" if any of the dimensions are OVER 12 inches.

NOTE: On the seller’s product page, you can often find the dimensions (Height x Weight x Length), and shipping weight of your package being sent from the seller in order to estimate the USPS package rate.

STEP #2 – Add our "Simple Seven Service Fee" $7.00 handling charge.

***No matter what size or weight your package is,
we will process it, and deliver it to USPS,
for a flat-rate fee of $7.00 dollars per package.
***

STEP #3Now, Decision Time....Is the total cheaper, and/or is it more convenient, to use our service as compared to your options with the seller?

If you decide My Package 2 Alaska can save you money, or make delivery of your package more convenient, then when you "check-out" on the sellers shopping cart, be sure to use our Utah address in the "Ship To" section of your order.

Example:
**Your Name**
c/o My Package 2 Alaska
4710 Stratton Drive
Lower Level - Unit B
Holladay, Utah
84117

STEP #4 – When we receive your package, we will inspect it for visible damage, and notify you by text, (or phone call if you prefer), that it has arrived. We will also send you an email with a convenient Paypal Invoice for the cost of USPS postage for sending it to your home-town Post Office.

STEP #5 – When we receive your payment, we will immediately print and apply a USPS shipping label with the required postage, and deliver your package to the Post Office. We will also text you a message containing the USPS tracking number so that you can follow the progress of your package.

FAQ Section

Question 1. Why did your service fee recently increase from $5 to $7?

Over the past few years, our costs for things like supplies, rent, insurance, and labor have all increased. Rather than cutting corners on the way we handle your packages, we chose to adjust our fee from $5 to a "Simple Seven Service Fee" of $7.00 per package. This small change helps us keep doing what we’ve done for over a decade—carefully receiving, inspecting, handling, communicating with you for your preferences, and forwarding your packages from the Lower 48 to Alaska in a dependable, personal way.

Question 2. What does the $7 Simple Seven Service Fee actually cover?

Our "Simple Seven Service Fee" is not just a number on a screen. That $7.00 per package helps pay for receiving your shipment at our Utah address, inspecting it for visible damage, communicating with you regarding your preferences, storing your package safely until postage is paid, preparing and printing your USPS label, and physically delivering your package to the Post Office. It also supports any extra time we spend communicating with you by phone, text, and email so you always know what is happening with your box.

3. Are there ever any extra charges on top of the $7 fee?

No. With My Package 2 Alaska, there are no hidden handling charges or surprise add‑ons. You pay a discounted USPS postage rate for your package, plus one flat "Simple Seven Service Fee" of $7.00 per package. That. Is. It. We believe in simple, predictable math: postage + 7 is the full story of what you pay us.

4. Will the $7 fee ever change based on size or weight?

No! The whole point of our "Simple Seven Service Fee" is that it stays the same regardless of size or weight. Whether your box is small and light or large and heavy, our service fee is a flat $7.00 per package. Size and weight will affect the USPS postage, but they do not change our "Simple Seven Service Fee."

5. Does the higher fee mean faster or better service?

Our goal with the "Simple Seven Service Fee" is to keep our service consistent—and, when possible, improve it. Raising the fee to $7.00 helps us maintain reasonable turnaround times (in most cases within 24 hours), keep experienced help in place, and continue giving each package individual attention. It allows us to keep doing things like inspecting for visible damage, communicating with you directly, and making sure your package gets to the USPS facility properly labeled and ready to move.

6. Is using My Package 2 Alaska still a good deal at $7 compared to other options?

For most customers, yes. In almost every shipment, USPS postage is the largest part of the total cost, and our "Simple Seven Service Fee" is a small portion of the overall bill. Many Alaskans use us because some sellers will not ship to Alaska at all, or only offer expensive shipping options. In that context, paying a discounted USPS postage rate plus a flat $7 service fee is often still a very good deal—especially when it comes with clear communication and careful handling of your package.

7. How can I estimate my total cost now that the "Simple Seven Service Fee" is $7?

Estimating your total is easy. First, use the USPS Postage Price Calculator to estimate postage from our facility in Holladay, Utah 84117, to your hometown Post Office in Alaska. Then simply add our "Simple Seven Service Fee" of $7.00 per package. That’s your maximum total from us: USPS postage + $7.00 (and we can often reduce the USPS postage portion by applying an additional rate discount). No extra handling line items, no hidden surcharges.

8. Are you charging $7 to make more profit, or to keep the service going?

We want to be honest about this. The move from the "Flat-rate Five" $5 service fee, to the "Simple Seven Service Fee" of $7.00, was a difficult decision, which we spent many hours and days debating among ourselves. But the ultimate decision to implement this change is primarily about keeping the personalized service sustainable as costs rise, not about “seeing what we can get.” We want to continue offering Alaskans a reliable forwarding option from the Lower 48 instead of cutting quality, reducing communication, or shutting our doors. The new fee helps us cover real costs so we can keep serving you for years to come.

9. Why didn’t you just add small extra fees instead of raising to $7?

We know how frustrating it is to see a low fee advertised and then get “nickel and dimed” with extra charges at the end. We chose not to go that route. Instead of adding small handling surcharges here and there, we moved to a clear Simple Seven Service Fee of $7.00 per package. One fee, one number to remember, and no surprise add‑ons—just USPS postage plus $7 so you always know what to expect.

10. Do you offer any discounts if I ship a lot of packages?

Our standard pricing is the same simple formula for everyone: calculated USPS postage plus our flat "Simple Seven Service Fee" of $7.00 per package. We believe this is the fairest and most predictable approach. If you are a high‑volume shipper and think there may be an opportunity for creating a business partnership, please contact us directly. However, our first priority will always be to keep this process simple and transparent for the typical Alaskan resident, because this goes back to our roots of once being Alaskan residents who were frustrated over not getting our online purchases sent to us because the seller "....does not ship to Alaska!"
